I just want it to be said, I supported your book and was eager for your work, as a food systems worker and food justice advocate. I bought 2.

It is not surprising to me that I have been blocked from your Instagram, as I suppose it was your personal Instagram (Although the line between personal and public is blurred sufficiently to ensure that it is public enough to garner support but private enough to block those in disagreement with your actions).

I want to say that I found that act cowardly, and reiterate my critique of the silence that you now have around Sylvanaqua farms, after contributing to the mud-slinging contest.

In my opinion, that goes directly against the activism found in your book. It is, however, completely in line with how you respond to those you deem "angry" voices-- including my own. It could be pertinent to analyze how you use your whiteness and gender to enter certain spaces and then exit them, as well as how you use your power to silence some voices and raise others.

Please recall that there are people depending on the food that is provided by the work of some people, including Sylvanaqua. And perhaps also recall that this field is riddled with racism and oppression: it would be decent for you to take a stand against that, especially beyond a workplace disagreement between the already few BIPOC actors in the small farm movement.
